These two are the real deal. Their love for each other is genuine, strong, and built on a foundation of almost 2 decades. I met Steve and Jayna in the dorms of UCSD freshmen year and we've been friends ever since. We like to joke that we followed each other around San Diego, because after college when one of us moved to a neighborhood, the other just happened to move there as well. We started out our newlywed years in run-down cramped apartments down the street from each other, trading off hosting dinner every week and keeping up with Grey's Anatomy. Now, over 10 years later we both own homes in the suburbs and have a driving distance of 6 minutes between us. They are some of the most generous and hospitable people we know-housing us while we were in-between moves, watching our crazy kids when we are in a pinch, and hosting Sunday Fundays in their backyard. Friends through thick and thin and I couldn't be more grateful for them.
I had the privilege of capturing this sweet season of their life-preparing for baby sister and becoming a family of 5. Our session was laid-back, fun and their little guy stole the show being such a ham! Typically shy and withdrawn, he put on the charm for me as soon as I got my camera out. These are a few of my favorite photos from their session that captures their genuine love and adoration for one another.
